Diners at one of 2017’s most anticipated new openings, Rail House Café, will be delighted by a novel approach to paying for their meal during soft launch week that takes place from Monday 27 February to Friday 3 March.
Rail House Café, a modern café with handsome bars and a diversity of spaces that evolve throughout the day, launches on Saturday March 4 and offers a unique ‘Honesty Policy’ that will invite guests to pay for what they enjoyed of their breakfast, lunch or dinner (drinks bill not included). Through this unique policy, Rail House Café will let customers choo-choose what they pay for; if you enjoy everything then there’s no reason to discount the bill, but if you are not keen on something, you just need to let the Rail House Café know and you will not have to pay for it.
Rail House Café is the long awaited new restaurant and bar opening at Nova near Victoria station, from the team behind Fitzrovia’s hugely popular Riding House Café which serves up to 4500 guests a week, and the much loved Village East in Bermondsey.
Menus will feature playful and innovative twists on contemporary favourites, such as: ‘Green Tea Waffles’ and the ‘Burgerdict’ (an eggs Benedict-burger hybrid). But the main focus is on healthy food for every day, incorporating raw dishes such as ‘Sea Bass Ceviche’; and a beautiful Instagram friendly ‘Chargrilled Octopus’, set to cause a stir.
During its soft launch week, Rail House Café is putting its trust into the hands of guests, by asking them to pay for what they enjoyed. Love a dish, pay for it – if you didn’t, don’t. This is a valuable way to get guests’ feedback before opening day.
