Ibrahim’s retrospective, ‘Ibrahim El-Salahi: A Visionary Modernist’, has been a great success. At Ultra Vie, we were very interested to learn more about the man behind the art, and were able to speak to him about the exhibition, and about his own rich history.
The Tate Modern is set to exhibit Paul Klee, a European Modernist renowned for his radical approach. Known for his reputation as a solitary dreamer, the exhibition will reveal the innovation when creating his work, and how that was presented.
The Tate Modern is set to stage an international exhibition of one of Latin America’s most important post-war artists Mira Schendel running from 25th of September to 19th January.
The Renaissance Photography Prize is an international photography award that celebrates photography, from both emerging and established photographers from around the globe, in an attempt to raise funds to support young women with breast cancer. The shortlist for the 2013 Renaissance Photography Prize was recently announced, following over 1000 entries from photographers all over the world.
Running until 22nd September, Sudanese artist Ibrahim El-Salahi will be the subject of a major retrospective titled ‘A Visionary Modernist’, held at the Tate Modern. The exhibition will draw upon 100 pieces of art, from over 5 decades, highlighting his importance as an international artist throughout the years.
Tate Modern is a significant step closer to raising the £215m it needs for its extension after the Israeli shipping billionaire Eyal Ofer donated £10m. The gallery gave the details of one of its biggest cash gifts on Tuesday. In recognition of Ofer’s contribution, Tate Modern will name the level 3 east galleries the Eyal Ofer galleries.
The 2013 edition of Shubbak: A Window on Contemporary Arab Culture, is set to take place over a two week period, from the 22nd June – 6th July. The second edition of the ambitious programme will consist of art exhibitions, films, plays, concerts, family activities, talks and seminars, in a wealth of venues across London.
Hyperlink is a fresh and exciting festival which will take place from Friday 26th – Sunday 28th of April at Tate Modern London. Focusing specifically on the talents of young artists, the busy weekend schedule will showcase original work from different disciplines, including, installations, interactive visuals, musical performances and even workshops.
Tate Modern is presenting the most comprehensive retrospective of Roy Lichtenstein’s works, exploring everything from his early pop art to his final nudes and Chinese landscapes.
