New London venture Tirage caters to high-flyers with a penchant for the good life, offering one of the largest champagne menus in the City alongside an healthy selection of tasting plates.

The all-day dining venue opened last week on Bishopsgate, near Liverpool Street, serves inventive dishes paired with a glass of champagne for any occasion. The food menu is inspired by the traditional sophistication of French cuisine and of-the-moment Peruvian plates.

Over 120 sparkling wines and champagnes are available, with 15-18 served by the glass. The selection includes both familiar labels and those that are lesser-known or rare.

Patrons also have the opportunity to purchase their favourite bottles to enjoy at home, with head sommelier Roberto Della Pietra on hand to offer advice and expertise.

The champagne breakfast option is perfect for those who like to start the day with a little bit of opulence: boiled truffle eggs with bread sticks and parmesan shavings, washed down with house label Perrier Jouët Grand Brut Champagne, followed by Boudin Blanc with Jacquesson Cuvee. Blueberry pancakes with cinnamon butter and thyme honey, and a glass of Olivier Coulon Tradition round off this breakfast of champions.

Tirage’s kitchen is headed up by chef Alasdair Fraser (previously of The Abingdon), bringing innovative lunch and dinner dishes such as Cornish scallop ceviche with baba ganoush, grilled streaky bacon, coriander crisps and pomegranate and sorrel flower reduction; star anise honey-roasted duck breast with plum sauce and pancakes; and pan-fried foie gras with caramelised pear, chilli popcorn, kaffir lime and blini.

Dining options are flexible and relaxed, with small plates, food flights and platters available for different size dining groups. Stylish high tables, leather stops and banquettes complete the restaurant’s décor over the two floors, creating a sociable and informal atmosphere. There are also two private rooms which can be booked for intimate group dining and events.

Open Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 12:30am, Tirage offers luxury champagne dining to London patrons throughout the waking hours to satisfy any craving and appetite.
