An exciting new restaurant has opened its doors in Chelsea this month. Brought to us by New York –based Crown Group Hospitality, Red House offers delicious American-British food in a classic-meets-modern British interior.

Experience is not something that is lacking in Red House, as it is the sixth restaurant and bar venture from partners Sean Largotta, John DeLucie and Chris Jonns.

Sean Largotta says that “Much like our other Crown Group properties, Red House is a restaurant and bar concept that is rich in history and we aimed to preserve its historical elements while integrating modern features. Since Red House’s location dates back to the mid 1800’s, we wanted to expose as many of the original structural facets as possible including the original brick walls, aged wooden paneling and a fireplace.”

Meg Sharpe, Crown Group Hospitality’s leading interior designer, has brought the venue back to its roots, with an authentic style highlighted by the fine art hanging on the walls and the comfortable vintage-looking banquettes.

The food also stays relatively classic, with Chef DeLucie offering tasty Tuna Tartare, great skinny fries, and a good homemade burger, served straight from the open kitchen.

On the drinks side, Ben Scorah, Crown Group Hospitality’s Head Mixologist and named “Most Inspired Bartender” by GQ in 2009, is serving up classic cocktails, with specialties including the Red House Riot – Red chilli infused vodka, fresh mint, passion fruit, lime, and aromatic bitters with a splash of ginger beer and Penicillin – Blended scotch shaken with fresh ginger, honey, and lemon served on ice and crowned with a nip of smoky Islay scotch.
