Tap Olé

Peacock Theatre
Runs to Staurday 7th May

Tapeando…. A virtuous mix of tap, Spanish guitar and percussion.

After a couple of hugely successful sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, award-winning Catalan company Tap Olé made their London debut at the Peacock Theatre last night.

Lead by choreographer and dancer Guillem Alonson and Roser Font, Tapeando explores the choreographic possibilities of fusing tap dance with a variety of Latin, flamenco, jazz and Mediterranean rhythms with a seamless combination of four tap dancers and four musicians. Performances burst with energy and flavour, bringing the music to life, the close dialogue between musicians and dancers maintained throughout.

Tap Olé is the first of Sadler’s Wells’ Catalan Dance Trilogy, a series of works across three stages focused on multi-award winning Catalan Dance this season. The season will also feature the Nats Nus Dansa (Sat 4 June, Lilian Baylis Studio) and the dynamic surrealism ofSol Picó Dance Company (Thu 23 and Fri 24 June, Sadler’s Wells).
